Sir Nicholas Mostyn a former high court judge who has participated on many Windwise weeks and is great company, quick witted and very entertaining both on and off the water. He’s a passionate windsurfer and since he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2021 and has determinedly pledged to continue his pursuit of windsurfing greatness.

Powering Through Parkinson’s
Windsurfing can be a tough sport to master but when you have Parkinson’s to contend with as well, it’s full respect just getting on the water! A true testament to that Warrior spirit is Jerry Collyer a retired consultant surgeon diagnosed in 2012. Jerry and his lovely wife Liz had done loads of Windwise sessions and since his diagnosis his incredible persistence, character, and determination, have seen him fight the odds and manage to sail a 95-105L Dyno’s, and nailing gybes too!
World Parkinson’s Day
We promoted this special day with a true Windwise Warrior proving what humans are capable of even in the face of adversity. Totally inspiring!
When we were in Bonaire in March 2025 when we celebrated with Jerry blasting across Lac Bay – which is a superb place for energy saving, skill enhancing windsurfing Bonaire Freeride Experiences.
