After a successful World Wave Rally event in Geraldton, we headed south to Lancelin for some Severne kit testing and to run our Windwise Lancelin Freewave Clinic Experience for some ‘Aussie’ locals and international visitors.
It’s been 6yrs since our last Lancelin Windwise windsurfing coaching sessions and, to be honest, not much has changed. Great windsurfing location, warm welcoming hospitality at the Lancelin Lodge and the classic Western Australian ‘Seabreeze’.
Great work everyone, really wonderful group. Check out what we got up to…..

WINDSURFING AUSTRALIA
Lunch time in Lancelin
Large ‘flat water’ bay, outer reef and playful waves! Sometimes ‘smelly’ weed on the shore, but otherwise stunning white sands and a Dyno & Pyro playground.
Sadly there’s no hire centre there anymore :(… So thanks to Severne WA for sorting out some extra toys to top up the quiver. Perfect playground for Dyno’s / Pyro’s & Blades!
We covered loads of skills to ‘Make Your Moves’

A gybe ‘Warrior’
We worked through our Skills Training System on the beach in the mornings, drilled it in lighter winds and then hit the water at full tilt when the ‘lunch time’ Seabreeze kicks in.
Many of us stayed at the Lancelin Lodge which is a really welcoming place to stay 300m from the windsurfing and a great value base.
Thanks to Karen & Matt for their great hospitality – contact the Lancelin Lodge if ever you’re in Lancelin.
On our way back from WA we went back and checked out windsurfing in Vietnam. Read the feature to see if it’s worth a visit…?
The place to stay..
