MOULAY MAY 2013

Wind, waves and check out the full video from our recent trip to Moulay!

 {gallery}Moulay_2013{/gallery}

A full week, where we didn't really stop! Great wind and waves for first 3-4 days, then some SUPing and surfing. Really, really great fun group -thank you all!

WORTH WATCHING THE VIDEO ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!!

We covered everything from wave set up, safety, wave selection, wave tactics, hovering, catching waves, front and back side riding, jumping, launching over rocks :-) looping and loads of tricks off the water too!!!! Thanks to Bruno for being our host at the centre, great views, fab food and for putting up with us being so hard on his kit!  Thanks to Riad Zahra for the wonderful hospitality, great tapas, fish and warm welcoming atmosphere day and night!

After the day in Moulay we ventured into Essaouria town to some secret eateries with faboulous fresh fish and incredibly good value food! Plus we had the customary Moroccan massages and haman which is fabulous, when you know where to go!!! With endless banter and plenty of laughs on and off the water, the week flew by and we were sorry to have to leave. So great work on the water with many firsts and some fine tuning, so loads of hoemwork to move everything on with until next time!

Check out the comments, photos and video to get a feel of the place, the people and get on the reservation list for next year!

Thanks Jonathan, always great to sail and seek new places with you. We've had lots of feedbck on the video about what a fun week it looked on and off the water. Quite a few who were on previous trips were wishing they were there too! So it's onward and upward now. Keep working on those wave skills and upwind 360's and I'm sure I'll see you before we take on Gwithian in Sept!!!

What a great week! I'm still floating around in a happy place. Fantastic wave sailing, I learnt such a lot and had a good time with a great group of people. Can't wait to sail with you again Simon and that will be Gwithian!

At the speed you are learning, the others better keep working hard. We have a lot more amazing windsurfing experiences to come. Although it will be hard to beat the rope trick. Look forward to sailing with you soon. Sort those jumps and then we'll move onto your loops! All the best. Simon

Paul, I am afraid Simon is right. If forward loop was already on my list, back loop has been added because of you. Thank you for the frustration of yet another goal on my very long list... and for the great show!
Amazing fun Moulay, I wish I was there again.
PS: I now have to learn a party trick as well, but I cannot see anything beating the display we had on these holidays ;)

Great sailing Bruce, we've come a long way - dry gybes, duck gybes and now venturing into real waves and riding them!!! Great work and always a good to have you part of the team wherever we are sailing! See you soon and in Gwithian. Simon

I have to agree with Paul; we had a ridiculous amount of fun, both on and off the water. The conditions and great coaching got me doing some proper front-side wave-riding for the first time in my life. Now, I can't wait to practice this new skill to the point where I can justify calling myself a Wave Sailor! Thanks, Simon, for a great trip. See you in Cornwall. Bruce.

Great sailing Paul. You impressed a lot of people with the front and back loops! Great inspiration for others too, whether they want to try those sort of moves or not.
Look forward to sailing with you again soon!
